I am having a stumble problem at 1/8 of a tank or less left and turning sharp corners/or accelerating..... only lasts 1/2 sec and returns to normal after the stumble...
Happened about 3 times this morning. Similar to running out of gas on your riding mower... when its on its last drop of gas...
Is this a new problem or one you have always had? The older expys are known for pickup issues in the tank. If I get down to 1/8 tank and park with the nose down hill it will starve for fuel.
i usually park level... It has happened in the last few months... was at 1/8 tank going to work, and the fuel starvation happened a few time on the way to work, but not on the way home, after the fuel light came on.... weird... filled it up and no issues.....

Any way to inspect, repair the baffle. What does it do ?
would the fuel pump be suspect if it only happens at low levels..
I will also check the fuel pressure and check/change the fuel filter.
The baffle is part of the pump and is like a small pan inside the tank where the fuel pump pickup is. It allows fuel in quickly but out slowly so that when the tank is low the pump doesn't suck air in corners or hills.
Fuel pumps on their way out, usually first start acting up at low fuel levels. This is due to the fact that the pump is not submerged in the fuel. The fuel acts as a heat sink helping the pump to run cooler. Without the "heat sink" the pump runs hotter and is more prone to weak pressure output.
