Need help with the power mirrors on my 02 expy EB. They (both sides) only work when going up and left. I replaced the switch to no avail. If there has been a previous post on this issue, can someone direct me to it? The search is not working right now.

You'll have to pull off the door panel, disconnect the power mirror connector and probe the wires for power when pressing the mirror switch. If you find power then the mirrors will need to be replaced.

 

Not having seen the switch, knowing it is brand new and the old one did it too, and assuming it gets a single power feed for all it's functions, and based on both not working at the same time I'd say it is probably an issue with the wires outbound of the switch that control those two directions.

It looks like I get to trace the wires... I took the new switch back off and jumped the wires from the hot lead and still could only get them to move up and left. I believe the motors are ok because when I push the memory button they go back. I know I may sound picky, but if I have an option on my rig I want it to work!

I'm wondering if this might be somewhat common because my brothers F350 SD is now doing the same thing. Maybe its just our luck!
