1. Put in the injectors and noticed it is idling not rough but its shaking more.
Would timing be the problem?
2. And also unhooked the wastegate. Now i can get 11 lbs of boost. Will a bigger downpipe and better intake make the boost higher while cruising? Have around 3 lbs.
3. Also noticed my egts r higher since i put in the injectors. Is this to do with a more complete burn?
U guys have been right so far. Lets see what you've got.
2. Yes, the less restriction in the exhaust the faster the exhaust can flow better/faster thus spooling the turbo more. And the same goes for the intake
3. It may be due to more fuel being dumped in, but I really dunno
1. Probably timing. Possible bad injector is it shaking after it warms up are you getting any smoke at idle.
2. Why do you want more boost at cruising.
3. Also possibly timing is the higher egt's at cruising or with the pedal down.
1. Shaking when it is warmer but not as bad. No smoke at all. Was before that was my main reason for injectors.
2. Cruising. More air means all the fuel is burned and then i can give it just a little more fuel.
3. Higher egt is cruising about 100 degrees higher.
I'm thinking you may need to adjust your to take care of #1 and possibly #3.
The boost is in direct proportion to the amount of fuel you are giving it the more boost at cruising the more fuel you are using.
New injectors, stronger springs and higher pop off pressure.
So installing the new injectors has retarded the timing since it takes longer for the pump to increase the line pressure to the injector so it will pop.
Did you notice any injector tips wet with fuel when you removed them?
