New Engine Start

Installed a new Jasper 302 engine and a 1986 wire bundle into my 1985 F150 truck.
Now when I turn the key on I donot get my 2 or 3 second fuel pump run. Manualy powered relay and pump run.
Swaped EEC computer to other truck and it runs ok.
What am I missing to get my fuel pump to start with key on?

Thanks for any and all help.

What did the 1985 truck originally have? A fuel injected 302? Why did you change the harness to a 86? These are the first years of fuel injection, and they may have wired them differently.

Original was 302 EFI. 1985 harness was in very bad condition. 86 was what I found in junk yard in good condition. Pulled and inspected each wire from EEC conection and think each is correct. My 1985 is one of the first fuel injection systems. Did the EEC have a preprogramed set of instructions to start the fuel pumps for three seconds when I turn the key on or did it depend on a set of instructions from sensors, etc? And if so what are the instructions?
