i've got a life changing decision to make. my grille was looking kinda bad so took it off so i could attempt to polish it. it didn't take long for my brain to hatch a new idea. i started thinking the grille might look good black. i'd sure like to your opinions on painting vs. polishing. i'm kinda leaning towards polishing but i'd like to hear what you guys think
Getting thru all the anodizing will take alot of work. Getting all the deep scratches out, alot more work. Getting all the dents out will take alot of work. Depending on how bad the grille is, and how well you want it to look will determine if you polish it.
Painting it is the easy way out. Depending on the "look" you want, is up to you. Personally I like CHROME, the new "no chrome" look isn't for me.
Just My Opinion i would Go with the polish look i have seen a few painted black i did not think it looked to great might bin how they painted it but i still like the polished look
since we got rid of all the trim and almost all of the shiny stuff. we went this direction with it. This grille had a bunch of dings and dents and we couldlnt find one in good shape. Since the bumper was painted(no rear bumper) etc i think this looked good. it depends on the rest of the truck for me. If there is a lot of shiny on the truck, keep it shiny. its a lot more work though

i know how i said i like the polished over The Black but in this case the black looks nice on that truck i got to admit your right about what you were saying if there is not alot of "shiny" then try something else but if theres alot of shiny stuff then go with Polished
thanks ranger. I think on the truck im doing it would have been out of place for sure.
graymule, is the rest of your truck stock(trim etc?)
Your welcome Your trucks very nice looking did a great job with it black looks great i did think of something that would look cool
you now how it has the 6 bars going down would look nice with some LED Lights On A toggle Switch going down the bars to turn on at night would look very sweet and not expensive
thats an interesting idea. Its my cousins truck so that would be his call but now that you mention it maybe a blue led oval would be trick behind the grill
