Hey there everyone...havent been to this sight in a while, but I got me a question I need to ask. A little while back I smacked mirrors with a 3500, and ended up goin and gettin a couple wally world cheapos and usin the heads that way the mirrors wouldnt look dorked up. But man, these things straight up suck! Ive tried a few sights lookin for mirrors, but none have any good pictures for OE like Im lookin for. Does anyone know of a sight that has good pictures of its merchandise? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and one other question....whats the difference between a swinglock and a breakaway mirror? Thanks in advance...
the breakaway sounds like it comes off? which i am guessing means you can detach it and take it off the side of your truck if its in the way. the swinglock would just be a mirror that swings all the way in so its out of the way if your wheelin and it probably locks into different positions so once you adjust it, it will be set and it wont get bumped around ... im not sure about that stuff though so dont take my word for it i hope that link helps you find something you like
Yes, I made sure to check at Motorhaven. I may not be using the site exactly right, but I was unable to find anything about mirrors for a 91. I tried 87 and still got nothing. It seems that motorhaven is geared torwards the early Fords more, and thats cool, but it doesnt help me much. I would definitely use it, cuz it has good pictures on the merchandise that it has. I went to the Auto barn site, which had some good pictures. That rocked. I left em a message. Hopefully theyll get back to me. Thanks for yalls help...
I found the aftermarket mirrors to be crap, also. Junkyard mirrors are much better, but they're also more expensive & a little harder to find, since they won't usually take any parts off a good door and the mirrors are usually the first things damaged.
