Headlight Question

I have a 2000 F350, and I am looking to get replacement headlights. The ones I have are old and faded, and looking for some clear replacements. I would like to switch to the 05 lights but I am not sure if I want to do the modification. I found these on ebay and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about them. They look nice but I want to know if they are any good.
eBay Motors: 99-04 FORD F250/F350/EXCURSION EURO LED HEADLIGHTS 1PC (item 110343339929 end time Feb-25-09 15:54:42 PST)

Thanks

not bad looking and should fit your truck . but like with anything aftermarket unless somone can verifie the quality on those i would hold of on them...
there is not muh cutting on the header panel. its bout an hours of work to do it. and you have OEM headlights that if you brake one you can always get a replacement. and i dont know about this aftermarket companies, they here today , what about tommorrow????

good luck on you decision..

I think I would go with the 05 lights. You know they are good quality and that they will work. There are plenty of people on here that can help you with the install if you need it. I will end up doing this some day.

Thanks a lot guys. I agree with the both of you, there is nothing like a factory product. I have never been a fan of these aftermarket products but I was just wondering if anyone had anything good to say about it. Thanks again.

Those don't look bad, but the LED's are a little too ricer for me. I've heard okay things about the Eagle Eyes brand (which is what those are) so I wouldn't sweat buying them too much. Without the LED's in there I'd consider putting a set on my truck... too broke though

I think $45.00 is a little steep in shipping though. Or I could just be getting cheap?

Didn't notice that part! That's a rip, can't cost over $20, maybe $30 to ship those, they don't weigh that much.

With the 2005 lights I think there's some trimming that needs to happen to fit them.

Also, the '05 lights use a 9008 bulb and our trucks use the 9007 bulb. I don't know if the connectors are the same or not, or what the power draw is for the 9008. I know that the lighting wires are insufficient for us. Since I have the 'jeweled' clear housings anyway, here's what I did to improve my light situation:

I bought a headlight harness from GOS Racing Upgraded Headlight Harness for 94 to 04 Ford with 9007 Bulbs, then I put Silvania Silvertar Ultra 9007 bulbs in the headlights and Silvania Silverstar Ultra 9005 bulbs in the fog lights. It is a vast improvement and I am happy with the light pattern now.

If you want new housings you might try these...InPro Car Wear Clear Headlights for 99 to 01 Ford Truck and Excursion

Just my .02

Wink

I, too would like to upgrade my headlights to the '05-'07 style, but being unemployed I just can't do it right now, I have stock, original headlights in my '99 and I did clean them up with my favorite thing in the whole world---Flitz polish and a little elbow grease.....they look much better, and will get the job done until I get one..(a job)

Not that you ask, but here's what I used. eBay Motors: 2005 2006 2007 F250 F350 F450 SUPERDUTY HEADLIGHTS PAIR (item 380103404719 end time Feb-20-09 10:07:12 PST). Those and a wiring upgrade and your all set. Looks as much like OEM as OEM's.

It's not heavy enough for the newer style bulbs. The new bulbs require more juice for them to work right.
