Got a chance to install the wicked wheel today. Was not that bad, took me a couple hours without taking the turbo out. It is a bit louder and has some what of a different sound to it, cant wait to see how it does when I tow. Bought another red line to the wastegate and hooked that up, since I had my old one plugged. Truck seems to shift much smoother for some reason now, am I just imagining things or has anyone else experienced this?
How much of a difference does the WW make without a chip or injectors? Can you actually feel a difference in power/speed, or does is spool quicker? I have been wondering that for a while.

The wheel will push less air Benjamin, so on a stock truck the only thing you will notice is a louder whistle. On a chipped truck, it is used to cure surge in the turbo.

So what is the benefit of installing it on a stock truck? You said it would push less air?
Reduce or Eliminate Turbo Flutter/Surge in your 1994-2003 7.3L Ford Powerstroke.
Lower Exhaust Temperatures - NOT increase them
Increase Low-End Throttle Response - you may "feel" like your truck has more HP, but it DOES NOT
For use in 1994- 2003 7.3L Ford Powerstrokes
Is NOT intended as a horsepower mod.
The Wicked Wheel® will NOT:
Increase your performance
Increase your truck's horsepower
Increase or decrease boost
Increase or decrease fuel economy
Did you get the wheel balanced, I was told that it was a good idea by a turbo shop in town. I have never heard of anyone doing that tho. Is ther alot more whistle now?
I never heard the whistle from a WW. I would like to hear the difference between the WW and my TN BB. I have a nice whistle on mine, but would like to hear the WW. I don't think a vid is as good as hearing the truck in person. Over.
It has a unique scream to it -- almost sounds like compounds, because there is the initial spool-up, then when you really get into it, say at 10-15psi, the "other" whistle kicks in. Folks say it's annoying when you add the WW to the ATS, and I can certainly see how. I have the ATS with stock wheel, and the turbo sings at 70 mph quite nicely, and there is a nice spool-up as well. Definitely different than the WW -- I'll put it this way, when I put the ATS on, both my wife & daughter commented on the "extra" whistle. It is actually less at the WW's peak, but is more constant over the entire RPM range. The WW has more of a peak then tapers off.
