This is funny that you asked. Yesterday I was at the "stealership" when there was a guy in there questioning why it cost almost $500.00 to change out the plugs, $249 replacement and $249 if one breaks. He first attempted to do it himself and had trouble getting one out so he brought it in. From what the Service rep was saying is that the plugs seize in the head and a strong possibility one will break while removing. Which one did and they were claiming they have a tool to remove the broken plug. Not saying you will have any trouble but you might want to ask before you do it your self. Personally I like working own my own trucks. But back to your ?, they are located on top of the heads under the coil packs, small circles with wires going to them. Good luck

I did them in my 2002 Superduty, and it was pretty straight forward. I had 8 new coils and 8 new Denso plugs. I worked on one side at a time, removed the intake system, I removed all of the coils, and everything else that might have been in the way short of the fuel injectors. I sprayed the holes with WD40, both to clean them out and to put a little oil on them. Then using a spark plug socket that just fit into the hole and had a swivel built in, slip it in and removed and replaced the plugs one at a time. Once the four were done, I filled the new coil boots with dielectric grease and installed the four and rebuilt that side. I then did the other side, I had to unplug the last couple of injectors, remember to plug them back in, it will make you pull your hair out otherwise.

I think I did mine in about 2 hours. Pretty easy job.
