hey guys im lookin to put a lift on my 79 150. one question is can i fit 35'' bfg muds with just the four inch or do i need a body lift also. Or would it just be more worth it to just get a 6 inch.
You will fit the 35's fine with the 4". My old truck had a 3" body and cleared 36's fine. Shoot I have 35's on my truck right now with no lift....can't afford it yet. My opinion it will look better with the 6" lift. I myself like to have a nice gap between the body and tires.
yes, you can easily fit 35s with a 4 inch lift. as mudder460 said you can put 35s on a truck with no lift. I have a pic of a 2wd F250 with no lift running 35s.
35's with 4"s, no problems at all. But if your even considering the 6" lift do it now rather than later on down the road.......you'll be money ahead.
I agree also, if you are thinking about it, might as well do it. This way you have room to change tire sizes. I was pricing a 6" and a 9" lift. there was only about $100 differance in them. I am going with the 9" this way I can run up to a 44" tire if I wanted. Plus this lift will have the clearance I want with 38" tires.
