Well I dont know to much about casting numbers, but what I do know is
Decade Code - Year In Decade - Vehical Intended - Depart ie E=Engine
C=60 D=70 E= 80 F=90

C7JE= Cast in 67
Heads: C6AE U = Cast in 66
Crank: C9AE = Cast In 69
But thats as far as I know feel free to correct me anyone. -Rev

I think its a 427 but don't hold me too that as I'm still trying to learn about these engines myself.

What you have C7JE-A is a 1967 427 Marine block. C6AE-U are 427 small velocity port heads. C9AE-6303-A is a 1969 427 crankshaft, not sure what the 6303 part of that is about. Hope this helps.

6303 is the base part number for the crankshaft.

Steve Christ, says you have a 427 marine block, a NASCAR crank with high compression Mercury 390 heads.

The boys in the FE forum will drool over this one, I think you might have a piece that could have more sale value than running it, but the marine engine was different than the car engine. I don't know that it has the same mystique as the car engine. It will be interesting to watch this thread unfold.
