I would start by just doing a full tuneup and go through every thing next for me would probably be exhaust but i would start with pulling the codes if it wont go over 75 can you explain whats going on a lil better?

Is It just not pulling past 75 or is it cutting out? What size wheels and tires are on it, did the p.o. change the rear gearing. It could be running up against the speed limiter.

First off man, congrats! I have a 92 F250 with a 351W. It is awesome. You'll love yours no doubt.

Basically yeah, full tuneup is great for any truck. Oils, cleaners, filters, and whatnot.

Some good upgrades after that would be an intake upgrade, whether it be a full K&N upgrade or whatever brand. Personally, I would go with S&B for value, and it is equal performance. Another upgrade, if you have a bit more money would be exhaust. Look around for what you like. Sometimes you'll have to make your own around a muffler. Another would be just an audio upgrade. It can be heavily used, and that's what you want. Stuff that is useful all the time.

There seems to be more info needed. Lets say you mash it from a dead stop. Does it accelerate good thru first gear, hit 2nd hard ? Then what happens in 3rd, 4th ? What seems normal and what doesn't when pushing it like this ?

How many miles on engine? for the O2 sensor check wiring, and do a voltage drop before and after the O2 sensor u should have bout source Voltage before and less than .5Volt after. For the TPS at idle slowly depress ur throttle pedle, if u feel a slight studder or its bout to stall then check ur wires. let me know what you get.

Hmm, does it feel like its governing out?? One of my buddies had a F-150 that would just stop at 75, and it turned out that it had some kind of safetychip in it for the po's kids.

I would go ahead and put a new 02 sensor in it bein is it will def help out mileage if its out. I dunno about the TPS, I've never had to deal with one. The only thing I would try is disconnecting it and seein what it did.

I had the tps go bad on mine but it made it not have any power at half throtle... Fine at WOT..... There could be a speed limiter on it... Not sure when it would kick in .... Theres a rev limmiter on it to ... One the 302s its set at 4700 RPM...You have to get in the computer to get them out...

i can very well peg my speedo and go past the 90mph it says, i'd say i can hit 104 or so, i don't do that much anymore with the 162,xxx on it, i installed a tach and it runs outta breath around 5250 or so....thats my 96 302 5 speed, one of my 300's had trouble around 75 with the heat on? good thread also f-250's have beefier suspension and a bigger rear in the back for 2wd
