Ok, my '05 fx4 supercrew is an oddball. I pulled off the radio trim ring and I have the 4 pin connection up in my dash connected to a dummy plug. I then went back to the rear seat, found the slit stuck my fingers in there and no wire. I then pulled up the rear scuff and there is no take off running under the carpet going inboard, so I partially removed the c pillar trim and the only connections are the two inlines for the headliner harness.
Is there anywhere else the rear plug could be? I have a nagging feeling that my truck's i/p harness has the connection and my body harness does not because of plant/wiring complexity.
It's still too cold up here to start taking this thing apart, but I plan to look at the i/p to body harness inline connection and see if the sub connection stops there when it gets warmer.

Like I said on page 1, my FX4 did not have the rear plug either. That other guy got lucky. Mostly Lariat owners post back here that they found the plug. But not so many FX4 owners...
Rats I wanted to add the sub. I had to build a harness when I put a 2005 Escape mach radio and sub in my Ranger. I can do it again, just have to wait till it's warmer.

Well I removed the rear seat and the pillar moldings and the sill guards and this Lariat does not have a subwoofer plug. The extra connector is in the dash, so there must be a connecting harness that terminates the subwoofer plug. I knew this was too good to be true.
Is there a sub box that is of similar size to the factory box? I guess I'll have to run a sub the conventional way.
