I think it only works for recent models. My 2008 F150 comes up fine; my prior 2005 F150 VIN cannot be found. A 2004 and 2000 Mustangs in my family also can't be found.
So, use it when your truck is new and save the PDF.
Thats pretty cool! I tried our 2004 Explorer, but no luck. I did find that the EPA rates my truck at 1MPG less than our 4.6L Explorer. Not bad for it being almost 1,000lbs heavier and having a 5.4L.
I like being able to see what kind of options were selected because the previous owner didn't know.
