The search continues...

So I almost bought a 1948 Chevy today for $250. Unfortunately there where title problems and at the end of the day I realized I truly did want a 1956 Ford and nothing else. I was actually glad it didn't work out within a few hours.

Unfortunately, the 56 never came to Sheridan, WY. There is only ONE in this whole town, and he'll never sell it. Said the truck never came here, and after walking every alley way in this whole town, I have to agree. I've found a lot of Chevy's, couple Fords (but not 56). Be easier if I wasn't so picky, ha.

So the search continues, granite this would be a whole lot easier to do after moving, but right now honestly I just need the hope of finding a deal. I've lived the same day for almost 2 years now and am ready to scream

Craigslist hasn't helped much, I get some people from Denver, some are close to 2,000 miles away. Doesn't matter how good the deal if it cost me more to get there and back than to buy it. (ironically I don't have a truck that tow)

The problem is is currently I don't have a huge amount of funds for it, at most $500. But there is a lot I can do to a project that doesn't require any money as I have a well fitted shop.

So like 20 to 1 odds I actually find something in this town then huh?

I can only add that good things come to those who wait. As your finances improve, so will the avaiable of a Effie. Have you check the classified's here??

lol then I'm for a rain storm of awesome, lol

I think the biggest problem is where I'm at. Its a days drive at least to anywhere of any real size. I'm actually pretty much dead center as far as being in No-where American goes.

I check the ads here from time to time, lol maybe I should actually post a want ad, ha. Thanks

The best thing about Sheridan, is that I-25/90 will take you out!!....HaHa....I delivered grocery's to the mini-mart in town for a couple of years when we lived in co. springs,co.
we moved back to Minn. a couple years ago and are planning our return back for later this summer.......[can't stand the cold weather anymore!!]........keep looking, something will turn up when and where you least expect it!.....good luck and keep the faith!

lol I use to live in the Springs as well, nice place.

Thats why I'm looking now, I figure something is bound to happen sooner or later, who knows. Sure it's easy if you actually live somewhere with what you're looking for or have gratuitous amounts of money to buy it, but where is the fun in that? lol this is like hunting with nothing but a stick and planning on killing a dinosaur. Something is bound to happen... be easier too if I knew where I was moving! lol... oh the difficulties.
