Personally, Flowmaster is awesome. I don't have one on my truck, but that is what I plan on getting someday. I would try NAPA over any of the others. NAPA has great prices and are good with older Ford parts. Other places, Autozone *cough* *cough*, are overpriced and ask the stupidest most worthless questions that don't relate to the part. You can always order online though.
Personal preference...I have run Flowmasters (and they do sound really good on a Ford V8) on my Mustang forever (just switched the system 2 years ago from 3 chambers to 2 chambers and slightly bigger pipe when I added different heads, headers, etc.). Kept the original Flowmasters cause they were still in really good shape (at over 15 yrs old!) and may consider running them on my F150 if I decide to mess with the exhaust on it. The construction on them is heavy walled, fully welded and they are very, very durable. To be honest though (maybe I am getting old), with my Mustang as loud as it is (which I love..I rarely turn the radio on cause the exhaust sounds so good) it is kinda nice to drive a nice, quiet vehicle too so I am in no rush to change the exhaust on the truck unless I go with long tube headers, etc.
Good to see some mustang guys on hear... I have had a couple stangs nothing but flowmasters.. & no cats... You dont even have to look you can tell its a stang by the sound !!!!

Ain't that the truth. For near 20 yrs now....you can tell a Mustang from blocks away. Even with a stock exhaust, but add Flowmasters and it really makes it noticable.
I'm in the same boat. Stock truck/exhaust and want to make it sound a bit better though not obnoxious. Don't want to wake the neighbors everytime I leave the house. Do that in the hot rods already
I've got Flowmasters on my FE powered hot rods and love them. One set is 15+ yrs old an still solid as a rock.
