Headlights

I just pressure washed the engine in my 1979 Ford F250 and the headlights wont work now. All others work. I know this is something I did and it's stupid to ask this question, but I feel like I've looked everywhere. Any suggestions? I will not be offended if you get very simple with me. Thanks.

The dimmer switch is a good easy place to check voltage with a meter or testlight. It has three wires going to it. One is in from the headlight switch, and the other are out, high and low beam. If you get voltage coming in, and voltage on one out and then the other when you click the switch, then you know the problem is beyond there either at the firewall plug or out at the headlights themselves. It could also be a coincidence, and the dimmer switch itself is bad. They lead a hard life down on the floor, and the plug likes to corrode too.

Franklin2, you must be a genius, all I did was hit the dimmer once and the lights came on. It's like it was stuck in between. Now I can go to work in the dark. I feel like a dummy now, but at the very least, my lights work. Thank you very, very much. Whoooooo!
