I ran the codes and got 111 code/system pass. I am really thinking now it is just a dirty fuel injection problem that is causing my clattering problem.
I think I am going to have the fuel injectors flushed or maybe replace them. If I replace, which would yall suggest. I dont like to do things twice, its a waste of money and time. I want what is going to be the best parts for my truck
Yes, Spark Knock I have been dealing with, I dont know how to link to other threads, of if you do a search, you will find a MULTITUDE of threads contaving the clattering
( Spark Knock ) problem
just a question but what is the problem? What is clattering? Is there another thread you are referring to?
I have never heard of "clattering" either. However if it is pinging then the usual causes are, fuel octane rating too low, ign timing too far advanced, wrong type of spark plug or wrong heat range and excessive buildup of carbon in the combustion chambers. Probably others but can`t think of any more. You could try running a can of a good fuelinjector cleaner through it and maybe seafoam to clean any carbon out. Hope this helps.
Well, we're all experienced in our own ways, but you didn't really tell what the problem was in your first post.
Does it do it idling? under power? deceleration? all the time? some of the time? have you checked the timing? Fuel pressure?
Bad thing about trying to solve each others problems over the internet without being there is we have to get a bunch of information to find out whats going on.
Yeah, fuel injectors are expensive and a pain to replace. I would rule out all other possible causes for your problem before going that route. A can of seafoam and a bottle of Techron can do amazing things.
