Upgrade Grill?
I have 2000 F350 Lariat and would like to upgrade the grill. I really like the Chrome Package Grill from Ford but kinda pricey from guy on Ebay that cuts the bottom to fit my truck. I like the horizontal bar type with Ford Oval.
Some of the cover-over grills look interesting but pictures don't show well.
Which ones are well made, fit well and keep their finish? I still considering the upgrade to a 07 but I don't want to do much modification if possible.
Several types are on the market made from aluminun, stainless and other materials. Which are best? Best source for grill?
I'd sure would be glad to hear opinions and suggestions from people that have done this. Pictures would be better yet.
Thanks in advance,
Sprintnut

Aluminum or Stainless is the way to go, I like the billet slats myself. I have a Stull Package grille sans vertical separator, and I think it's the nicest looking setup. The shell comes in chrome or paintable, because they manufacture the shell, the billet insert fits nicely and behind the shell. RDX makes a shell/grille combo too, but I don't care for their style of slats/CNC plate.
I've also used Carriage Works, Street Scene, Putco and some really cheap chinese ones. Stull, Street Scene and Carriage works are the only options I would consider for my own vehicle. I did manage to install a Putco Liquid close to the way I liked, but it took 3 hours to grind the stock shell up and tweak the insert.
