08 With Issues
Hello,
I just bought my 08 FX4. Just now hit 2k on the odometer. It has the 5.4 and so far I am not really impressed, it has a vibration that is really bad in the morning when I am cruising at 30mph. It also has one around 70mph. When you give it gas just right you get the sense that it is missing. I assum it is not since I have no check engine light. To top it all off I drive 50 miles to work and back mostly highway and I am pulling 14MPG, no matter how I drive I can't get any better. I have read a few post on the vibration thing but what kind of milage do you all get. I think my truck has issuse and I might have to take it in

Mine had similar vibration along with the Trans hunting and slipping gears..took it back to dealer and they keep it for a week said they were trying to figure out problem with FORD..There are 2 TSBs on vibration but my truck didnt fall into the Vin breakpoints...I had to tow a trailer and move a close friends parents out of their home. Ran the truck hard up and down the Cajon Pass with only 1200 miles on it, After that I noticed the vibration was all but gone and the next tank of fuel I got 15mpg hwy/city..This vibration started around 40 and would continue to 70 along with sloppy shifts...
