01' Excursion/ $ 4k ?
I found an 01' Excursion Limited V-10 128k price is $4000. runs good,Went and looked at it,,it is a Repo,,Both Auto hubs are seized,,wont turn,,,has a dent in the r. rear qtr,,doors work good, glass is good,,a little rusty underneath,,no rot, no oil leaks from what I did see,,,I did not drive it,, one low beam is out, signals work, lights horn,,I should of pulled the tranny stick,, Damn,,the guy said it drives good, but he has only put about 10 miles on it,,,he said Buy it and Drive it Home !
How much are hubs?
Cant get into an Ex. much cheaper then that.

This must be it's twin in Chicago... Must be the going rate for them... Definitely where you can see the difference between Diesel and Gas versions... never lived back east, but I guess rust is a big issue

if it's just the auto hub, about $250 a side. if you need the hub assembly too - another $150, plus some seals probably. you can pull them and clean and lube them to see if that takes care of it too.
if you don't need auto, you can swap to a manual locking warn or milemarker hub for less $$

price is good on the truck if the motor is solid and those are the only other issues, esp for a limited.

Opps,,I just remembered,,,it also needs a driver seat belt( repo man cut it to tie the steering wheel he said),,and the pass side tow mirror is messed up,,glass is in it,,but has several layers of black tape around and around it to hold it in.
Are Excursion's able to be towed ? (must have had the back up,,if they had to tie the steering wheel,,?)

Wow I posted this 20 days ago,,,,Can't believe The man still has the Excursion for sale,,,Got the cash up,,,Trailer is already to Go,,He said he will be there in the Morning around 9:am,,Going to leave here around 7:30 am,,,the Ex is about 95 miles away,,,told him I want to drive it,,and look it over again before, the deal is done !,,,,So looks like I have a Good chance to own a 01' Excursion Limited,V-10, Deep Wedgewood Blue/Tan, needs a little work but think the price is OK,,as long as all checks out in the AM,,,will Get pics if it comes home with us !
