That was 1/8" lexan, sure did roll the snow when it was in it.
At normal temps like 25 and up, great blade.
Where I had problems was in the sub zero temps, it got to brittle.

Yes I would get another one, that one is 15 years old now and still works great.
The frame is much heavier than say a steel Meyers, so no real weight savings.
