Some of the F4TE castings had the roller cam, if I remember right. The only easy way to tell what cam is in one of those blocks is to pull one of the pushrods. The roller cam motors have shorter pushrods.
I know the '93-'95 Lightning 5.8 did not have a roller cam, but the block is roller ready. As far as I know, '94-'96 F150 5.8 did have a roller cam. The '94 Ford shop manual shows a roller cam.
Oh, I guess I always figured the Ligntnings had rollercams, can't really tell you why I thought that, maybe it was one of those assumptions. You know what happens when you assume!
I have a 95' F250 XLR Centeron 4x4 Duelle for. Sail in sweet shape but has an issue with two fuel injectors that aren't firing #1#4 and when I switch #3 to #1#4 they fire was wondering what's next changes most everything in the things that make this fire but apparently that hasn't worked. The pcm & ecm haven't been replaced don't have the funds to fix any more give me an offer on it today and could be yours . Have it for sale at $3600.00 OBO. Have to be gonna asap
