extended warranty
I'm thinking of buying an 05 with 66k miles on it and I would like to know what kind of extra warranty i can buy for it. Can you buy it from ford and what would it cover and for how long. With some of the problems that the 6.0 has/had i'm a little worried that the trucks warranty is up in a year (engine). Any info would be a help. The truck is at a used truck lot not a ford dealership. Thanks

Extended warranty options
I bought a F-350 2004 with 64,000 miles on it. The dealer sold me a non Ford extended warranty for four more years of coverage. I did some checking and it doesnt look like the policy will cover any of the problems that these truck (6.0 engine ) is likely to have. I plan to cancel the plan before the 30 days are up. I am looking at plans Ford sells. They have a plan that is for diesel engine only, it will not cover any transmission issues. I don't plan on beating the truck so I wouldn't likely break any tranny or drive parts from abuse. Anybody have any experience with these extended warranty from Ford. Thanks Doug

Go to Ford Extended Warranty - Genuine Ford ESP They have the best deal I have found and its a ford warranty. They are $1,300 cheaper than my dealer. I am purchassing it tomorrow.
