flooding out
hey guys n gals im new to this so bare with me i have a 97 7.3 with 489000 on it latley when i start it i can run the rpms to 1500 and it will drop on its own to@ 1000 and it sounds like its flooding its self out the shop says turbo boost sensor does this sound like the symptoms of that sensor? i just replaced the fuel pump map sensor fuel filter cam sensor and chaned the oil. my fuel mileage is real bad (like 90 miles half a tank)keep in mind its been pretty cold up here and the flooding its self out seems to be on the first start of the day after it runs and warms up it dont seem to do it im up in arms any feed back would be great! also were is the screen to clean when changing the fuel filter??? thanks again

It sounds like you EBPV is hanging. You can disconnect it and forget about it.

nope its never been opened the injecters were never done he took very good care of her it was worked like a ups truck its whole life you know stop n go hell i just found the block heater cord this year its a brand new 12 year old cord and still works! my uncle thinks the trick to the truck was it never shut off from start to finish and some of his routes took 18-24 hours shes definetley a work horse
