it's kinda a long post thing-if ya use the search feature-you should find one already posted-also welcome to FTE-if all else fails check Auto Zone web site the have a online Manuel -do a google or what ever search and click for auto zone -it helps to have the info from it!
Tks. I tried the search feature, but never found anything very quickly on "Instrument Panel Light Replacement". On the search should I put the year of my F150 to help narrow the list?
Thanks for the Auto Zone tip. Didn't know they had an online manual. Makes sense tho.
Thanks for the "Welcome". I use to have a Volkswagen Beetle and found that these auto clubs where great for do-it-yourselfers.
Lights for your year cluster are easy, but it is plenty of work.
1) remove the headlamp ****, held on by a spring clip.
2) remove the trim pieces on the front of the dash, they just pull out, revealing screws. (Silver on XLT, black on XL)
3) carefully remove the dash surround. It's held with clips around the top, so be slow.
4) unscrew and remove the cluster, take care not to damage the two leads that insert into the back.
5) the bulbs just screw out. You can test them with a pair of wires and a 9V battery, or just replace the lot.
6) reverse steps, enjoy.
