Just once I was dumping concrete in a sloped dump in Lac La Biche and as the hoist was rainsing the truck slid back a little, I got a little stuck on the slick snow but got out myself.
I didnt think the slope was too bad just a gradual slope to a steep edge were they wanted to bury old concrete the front tires were still on level ground but it was a little snowy and what not (as Lac La Biche is always a snowy marsh) I was in Lac La Biche for about 6 weeks or so replacing a fridgin water tank had to make 3 trips to edmonton.
We were working on the Petro Pass just north on highway 55. The tank we installed HAD to have half inch wash rock or warranty would be voided, closest place to get such rock was Edmonton hence the trips to Edmonton.
Thats cool, thats not too too far of a trip to and from edmonton.
How was the hotels in lac la biche? for all the hoes we ever drilled there, Ive only gotta fuel there, got a tire fixed at OK, been to the superstore(or whatever that big grocery store is there) the LB, and some small shop on main street to get a towel. We always stayed in athabasca.
I forget what the hotel was called but it was a big old one on main street had a bar attached to it. it was by the Extra Foods. The hotel was nice enough.
