Hood Latch

The hood latch on my 84 Ford broke off in my hand this morning. It looked similar to the stock one, but it had a key lock. I don't care, I just need something and no one sells hood release cables or handles for this truck anymore. Where Do I get this? I don't care if it is the same or anything, I'm gonna look in the morning and see if I can make me an outside latch like a 76 Ford. Any Suggestions?

A non locking release is available from Dennis Carpenter for $60. The FTE PARTS GUY may be able to help you find a factory version.

locking and non locking ones from Ford are both obsolete.

$60!!!!! Its just a cable. The budget for the above project is about $10.
