Welcome aboard Jim!! Its great to see a supporter badge.
The Lariat's are really nice, I have gone from the xl trim to two xlt trim levels and this last time stepped up to a Lariat and have never regretted it. The trim level you get should be dictated by what you plan on using the truck for, work truck, daily commuter, tow vehicle etc. Its becoming a buyers market out there so with a little patience you should be able to find the truck with the features you want at the right price to fit your budget. Good luck!!
Colors like that make me think they were trying to get rid of a bunch of leftover paint so they just mixed it all together. If you like it, that's all that matters, but I don't dig it. I do dig the color of this truck from the Houston, TX Craigslist:

I asked the wife the other night if she wanted her own truck since I found that one. Got the rolling eyes from her... so I guess that's a no.
Wow. I wish someone would say that to me. Will you marry me Chris? You could handle two wives..

Personally I like the tealish color. I think its different! When I was shopping for trucks, I found one that color but the truck itself had been abused pretty badly.
In the end, as long as its the best quality truck around, who cares what color it is!
Welcome to the site BTW. I'm a Colorado native, graduated from Littleton High School and I grew up in Englewood! I recently moved to Iowa. I think I'll be moving back shortly. lol.
I'll be home for a few weeks this month so if you see a BART (big a$$ red truck) running around, be sure to wave.

Too funny, I have a really good friend that lives in CR. He moved to CO Springs a couple of years ago then moved back! I enjoy visiting him there on occasion, but dont think I could live there. Every time I'm in town there seem to be a rash of tornados. Mehtinks the corn gods dislike me!

Will keep an eye out for the BART!
LOL yeah. Hard to stay away from "home" and where your family is at. I know lots of folks here in Iowa that would never ever move.
I haven't experienced a tornado here yet, but we're having one of the worst winters on record. All I can say is...these flatlanders are TOUGH. These winters suck ***!
Good luck finding your truck. I'll let you know if I see or hear anything.

I'm sure willing to give a go... Not sure if my sweetie would agree.

I tell you what, drive a stock slushbox and then drive a BTS build slushbox. It will change your mind about how an auto tranny behaves if properly built right.

I dont doubt that the diff between stock and a BTS AT is night/day, but I still can't justify to myself dropping the extra bux on the upgrade when I'd really rather have a 6sp.
For me, the difference between a stock 6sp and a BTS AT is about the same order of magnitude as the delta between the BTS and the stock AT! But to each his/her own. Guess I'm just masochistic and like the extra workload...
Sorry I didnt mean to offend you, I was just pokin fun!!

What *I* find offensive is that avatar of yours! Of course, by "offensive" I only mean that it's distracting me and it takes a while for me to actually get to the gist of your post! LOL!
