I would like to welcome you aboard officially as well. It sounds like you have a good handle on what you want/need to do. Ask questions and we will help you spend your money. There pretty much isn't anything that can happen to these trucks that someone9usually many people) here won't know how to handle.
Chris - thanks for the link, darn nice truck! Kinda got my heart set on the crash box, tho. I had one AT truck once upon a time and it just never felt right!
run away run ---run----run ---awey as fast as you can-- lol.welcome to the dark side. this will be the best fun you will have ---ever ---right hear and with the best peopl
$20,000/OBO with a repainted front end & a damaged bed? how's $8500 sound?
good to have another Irishman in here!
A Lariat with a 6-speed is gonna be tough too find, but I wish you luck! I'm only about 15 miles or so north of you too!! Have you been to Fado's Pub yet? i love that place... PM me sometime and we'll go for Bangers & Mash!
You've probably seen this one already, and I'll PM it to you as well, but hot diggety:

Yeeeaaaah, $20k is a bit on the proud side! So far I've found a few here and there. Some were overpriced, some over-abused. But I'm finding more than I thought I would, so I'm confident it wont be long before the $ just starts FLYING out the window on mods!
I do hit Fado's on occasion when I'm downtown, but it's a little to... well, downtown for me, if you know what I mean. You been to the Irish Rover, Irish Snug or the Auld Dubliner? Those are more my speed! Or Scruffy Murphy's if they've a good band on.
No stimulus pkg here, just tax return $ and a paid off Jeep last month.
Welcome to FTE Jim.... there is a wealth of knowledge here on this forum. I have learned so much and dont have the mods yet (notice i said yet waiting on tax returns haha) but dont think there is anything I couldnt handle with this group . they are the best in my book and
good luck in search for your truck
Thanks for all the welcomes! I've been very impressed with the level of activity and knowledge around here, too.

Hey, no problem. Get what you want, you won't be disappointed in these trucks. A lariat with a stick will be a tall order. Good luck and if you are on the east side of town looking at a rig, send me a PM and I may be able to met you and give my nickel's worth of free advice.
Impressive! Thanks for joining the ranks! That crew cab for 13K with a new motor is cheap! I be on that like a fat kid on cake!
Yeah, when I saw the ad... well let's just say there was wood involved! However, in real life it left a bit to be desired. I think the pics are old, the interior was pretty trashed, needed rubber, gauges were shoddily installed (MAP was inop), I think the alarm was kinda jury rigged, and I never got to look at it cold. Had me going for a while, tho! I would still consider it, but not at 13k and that's what the current owner has left on the tab.
And so the search continues! Curious what people think about this color - not sure if it bugs me or if it's growing on me...
