I am starting to look at injectors and I am going to go with stage 2's and was wanting to know the difference between 160's and 180's? I know, I know 20cc's, but what else? Whatis the advantage if any with the 180's? I will be running my stoke turbo for a short time until I can up-grade. What do I need to consider or watch for with this set up?
P.S. The rest of my mods. are in my sig. I also have everything for the intercooler sitting at home and my 17* pump is on the way to Terminator Engineering to be rebuilt and tweaked.
Yes you should be fine with the TE pump. I presume.
I am running on a stock 17° pump with no problems. I can set a CEL every now and then. But my pump is relatively new and not many miles on it.
Yep, your going to have that with the old school single shots. Mine will sometimes get into fits when I push her over 25 lbs. It's time for big oil and a tuner.
So could I run 180's with my tweaked 17* from Terminator Engineering?
Tell me more about this "tweaked" 17* pump. I'm curious as to what Joey can do to it without changing the swash plate angle. For a while Swamp had a 20* pump but that didn't last very long.
I'm interested as well. I'd like to put stealths in mine, but I want to get the mech fuel pump. Dieselsite had a nice single that failed terrible once they stopped making it in house.
Not many options out there unless you want to spend some pretty good money.
Ok fellas not to be redundant, but what pump is in my truck from the factory? will it work with stage 1's and if so what other mods besides an intercooler will i need first?
Stage 1's should be fine with a stock setup. I'd recommend getting gauges to watch your temps. Some people run II's on the 15 or 17 without any problems. It just depends on condition of the pump you have.
