need some education

I was wondering what (if any) the differences are between a truck PSD and a van PSD.
It seems that ford had the market cornered in the van cut-a-way platform (they were turned into mini bus). I've seen them go reasonable with low miles but probaly have tons of idling hours (I wish they had hour meters on stuff).

I think the difference was the turbo. I keep seeing reference to a "van turbo".

MADVAN has a the van. He could tell you everything and anything about them I'm sure. They do have a slightly better turbo though.

I would not be worried about high idling hours. The only concerns with extend periods of idling is oil pressure and lack of combustion chamber temperature. They are usually not a problem on these smaller diesels.

In an OBS van there are no differences other than the oil cooler and motor mounts as far as I know. The Van turbo stuff is 99 and up due to the vans not having an intercooler.

I would guess that a full van and a cut away (meat wagon) would be the same.

TJ- Thanks for clearing up the turbo deal

All the other stuff sounds like changes for packaging the thing into the van.
