Hello All
I have a set of headers from Summit Racing. They fit fine on my 78 Bronco except they sit way to low. I have a 4' lift and 33" tires and the collectors sit right about where my radius arms are. I would like to take them to a muffler shop and shorten them from bottom to top about 3". This will bring them in line with my tranny crossmember and I will then try to route my exhaust on the passenger side of my NP 205. Is this a good idea? Will it take away from the flow of the headers and if so should I just port my stock exhaust manifolds? I really appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks
sorry but trying to shorten headers is nearly impossible. I build headers and the labor you would spend, and end up with an inferior product would not be worth it.doug thorly has a well fitting header for your truck. LaMar.
