Spring Swap misinformation?

I have read everything on here about the spring swaps. Just called my local 4x4 shop and they are telling me that super-duty front springs will change the location of the center of the axle by 1/2" (front to back) and cause issues with rubbing.

I was also told by them that b or f codes in the rear will ride very very harsh unloaded.

I was starting to look for springs....but now what?

What gives....?

I have to believe most people on here that have done it know what they are talking about.

They are blowing smoke up your.....

Sounds like the snowplow sales company owner that said he would not put a plow on my Excursion because the frame and springs were from a EXPEDITION.

They don't know what they are talking about when it comes to the Excursion. It is some weird animal with a lot of myths to them.

Use springs from any 1999 through 2004 Superduty. They will fit fine. Period.

Believe me, years ago we went through the wringer over and over again about spring fit in this and other websites and it is a settled issue.

You just have to decide what years springs, what code you wish, and what you will do to level the truck (blocks, bags, add a leafs, etc). The rates changed very slightly over the years 1999 through 2004
