I'm about to dump this site, And I just paid the subscription!

I am sick and tired of getting kicked off and the ignorant system clearing the 'Read Status' of posts, There are only two ways this should happen, Term Limits and the Actual User!

This system (vBulletin) is capable of it, if the SysOp chooses to enable it!

Getting kicked off just happens, It may or may not be an FTE site problem.
The ignorant system most defiantly is!

This site has way way to many posts (and that is a good thing) for one to be able to find the unread posts one has missed due to an ignorant system.

As stated before, My slowness problems pretty much went away when I subscribed.

-Enjoy

Firefox plus Ad-Blocker will cure all those problems.

Sysops: When the crap causes problems, it's not creating revenue anyway. Don't whine about ad-blocking when the ads are the nuisance problem....

It's to the point that any time I see the superchips ad start loading I hit the refresh button. Evidently they must pay for a lot of advertising since that is fairly often. Since the management doesn't want to PO the cash cow, maybe we need to attack this problem from the other side by sending SC a flood of emails saying how their advertising on here is alienating all of us rather than sending customers their way, and that they should have their ad fixed because it's being blocked and skipped rather than seen?

Check your hardware firewall if you have one. The Ford-trucks was loading fast for me, however the forums and others were taking 3 to 5 minutes to load with most graphics blanked out. This happened suddenly last week. I found this in my firewall blocking log for the Ford-trucks ip:

Intrusion Blacklist Defense
The host IP address is on the blacklist. The host IP address is blacklisted by the firewall when the firewall determines that the host has attempted an intrusion attack on the SBG network. The user can see the blacklisted host addresses on the Firewall Log Blacklist page. On that page is also the Clear button where the user can erase the blacklist to restore normal traffic.

Filter Defense
A Firewall filter policy is blocking the packet. This is normally not possible with the current SB. By default, all traffic is blocked unless explicitly allowed.

The user can explicitly create a policy to allow traffic. The user cannot and does not need to create a filter policy to block a port.

I reset the firewall and cleared the blocking logs. Now the forums load just as quick as ever.

I don't yet know what caused this, Ford-trucks was the only web site that had a problem.
