Well after a few weeks of gathering parts and information I was able to fix the oil leak. I replaced my EBPV pedistal with a non-EBPV as well as a high flow exhuast flange. Photo included with the nasty stock piece.
The enitre job took about 8 hours and I also replaced my EBP tube and sensor and I installed my SS HPX line. The truck runs great now and best of all no leak!!
Thanks to ITP Diesel and to FTE parts guy who got the parts to me quickly. BTW, I ordered my parts from FTE parts yuy on a Tuesday and they were at my house by Friday. They were also about 50% of what my local dealer was going to charge me.
Excellent news!!! Good job -- now you'll never have to worry about that PITA pedestal. I did the same thing when I swapped turbos -- good peace of mind.
Good job Matt. Now lets get that thing cleaned up and keep an eye out for leaks. lol. Always nice to fix a leak that has been bothering you for a while.
I used a little degreaser and washed off the engine yesterday. It is a little cleaner, I will have to do it again shortly. So far no more leak. I have been checking everyday.
I found another little problem that is an easy fix. The dog house is leaking fumes. IIRC there are two O-rings for that. I will be taking care of that soon as well.
