okay KITTY, I did the routine of blowing out the plug wells putting some penetrating oil stuff from the railroad and letting it sit several hours, now im no small guy, but that was way more than I wanted to pull on that plug (stuck).
And cbradford, That is just what im going to do replace the single coil and make sure that does fix the problem and procede from there. I have already made allowences for the cost at my trusted dealer, not only that but a couple my friends work there(where i have bought 4 of my new vehicles from, I kinda get alittle extra special treatment from them.
Anyhow after that I will replace each coil by myself and actually save some $$$ doing it.
Since they have to remove the coils to change the plugs, why not bring them a new set of coils ($90 off eBay) and have them reinstall the new ones while they have it apart.
y take the chance ur already in their
If the coil was misfiring you dont think it affected the plug?
geesh its $2
At 106,000 mile all plugs should be changed if the are original so you would have 1 new plug and 7 old/ worn out plugs and you think that's OK
Now if the plugs were changed at some time say around 60K I would say the plug is OK maybe washed clean from unburned fuel and if was run for extended time with miss, may have to more worry about such as cylinder washed clean of oil due to fuel not burning.
So hey it's your call, I do things my way on my trucks and you do things your way on your truck but I was always told to replace plugs in sets.
