Anyone got LoJack on their truck? I'm kind of theft paranoid because of some stuff that's happened to us over the past few years.
I've looked at the LoJack system and I like the system that has the keychain that tells you if the truck has moved when you (actually the keychain) wasn't near it.
Anyone have any feedback on pros and cons?
Pricing?
Just to give you an idea of how theft paranoid I am I have my truck locked inside a locked garage and the keys on my person at all times.
I know there's some better systems out there, but I'm not putting a 5,000$ anti-theft system onto a 7,300$ truck.
I had it put on mine new in '03. I have no idea what it looks like or where it is. I can only guess it to be deep behind the dash or on top of the fuel tank. I've seen everywhere else.
It's just the standard system. I do get a reduction in insurance payments though.
i had the standard lojack installed on the crown vic when i bought it in 02. it was $700 back then. i was not going to do it, but the dealer i got it from threw it in for free.
you can not watch as they put it in, because they do not want you to know where it is. all i know is that the guy was under the passenger front side of the car for about 10 minutes.

And are there any kind of service fees after that?
