1985 Ranger 4 banger Performance?!?
I just picked up a fairly decent 1985 ford Ranger with a massive (har har) 2.0 L 4 banger, 5 speed standard overdrive, 2WD. the previous owner had spent some cash in it in the way of custome wheels and oversized tires, killer stereo system and (???) he replaced the exaust manuifold with a now leaking header. Possible that he also goosed the engine a bit as I dont remember these having the kind of power this one has.
What I am looking for is information and possible parts sources. The information I need is what is involved in removing the 4 banger and throwing in the V6, and what performance parts are available for teh current 4 banger (looking at all my options presently).
I also ned sources for parts for this $400 vehicle
Either OEM or performance. Any help in either area would be appreciated.
