First off man I am sorry for your problems. I had similar problems with my 4 speed a couple years ago. I wouldn't stress out your transmission too much. We did hauling sheep to the county fair it blew. Before that however, it wouldn't go in reverse at all and the first couple of gears were gave you whiplash when shifting. We took it in and had it looked at and there was no fluid, the first couple of gears were welded and my reverse was literally metal shavings. Soooo, it could be that the first gears are getting too hot. Other than that, I'm not sure. Transmissions are tough to deal with.
