Anyways, they had this write up about Reverse Osmosis and I'd like for you all to read it and voice what you have to say about it, is the information accurate?
It was consistent with what I know, too. I do know that the flavor of water comes from the minerals dissolved in it and RO water tastes pretty bland as a result.
I had looked into it for our home and if I remember correctly, they use a lot of water to make a quantity of "clean" water.
If you want to taste what RO water taste like, get a bottle of Dasani, Deer Park, Nestle (and a few others I cant remember right now) because they use RO to purify their water. There are different types of RO systems out there. But I do know that RO filters are expensive to replace. I looked into it when I had a softener and acid neutralizer installed on my water system. I think that over the long run, its probably cheaper to buy a water cooler and buy water from a reliable source instead of a RO system. All you use that water for is drinking and possible cooking.

That is what we did. Our well water is potable, but tastes like crap and high in nitrates. RO is the only way to remove nitrate from the water and it doesn't cost that much for the bottles to be delivered for our drinking water. We still cook with well water too.
Bought a cooler at Costco for like $89.
If you are going to use bottled water, buy a cooler. It will pay for itself over renting from the water company in 1-1/2 years.
