Chips or tuners for Explorers

Has anyone here tried a Hypertech Econ chip or one of the HP Tuners for an Explorer? they run about $300 or so, which is what a tuner around here would charge me to reprogram the truck. If I buy the chip myself, or the tuner like an HP I could do it myself. Any thoughts?

Why not get a Bama. Those are more highly recommended.

I would strongly recommend spending a little more $$$ and getting an SCT XCal3. SCTs products are much more flexible than the majority of the tuners on the market. If down the road you get another vehicle you can use the X3 for it, just get updated tunes for the new vehicle. Check out www.5startuning.com Mike can set you up with with custom Economy tunes for your vehicle included in the price of the tuner. Hypertech, Superchips, Edge and etc are not in the same league as SCT and Diablosport IMO.
