Just keep in mind that I do trade shifts.

As in this coming Monday the 23rd, I'll be covering day-shift.

The remainder of next week is my usual evening shift.

By the way, my boss's name is Dave.

Businesses call here all the time and I answer the phone with Dave and they presume they're talking to the station manager.

Well Dave,

I'm down at the "little" post office on the corner of Warsaw Pl. at least once a week to check my P.O. box, but since they lock the lobby it's between 8:30- 3:00.....

Now I'm finally off to Greenwich on my 'booty call'.....

Good evening everyone.

Seems to have been quiet in here all afternoon.

Hopefully everyone was gainfully employed.

Well I got to Giant Oak around noon-ish or so.

Talked to the owner's son who was pretty knowledgeable when it came to his product line.

When I got there it looked like they were closed. Turned out they had to replace their furnace and part of their ceiling. There were guys messing around in the ceiling while I was talking to them.

It looks like I'm going to be going with an Exmark hopefully 52" mower without a mulching setup but with the comfort options.

For the mower they had in the showroom which was a 52" Lazer Z w/23 horse Kohler they wanted 6999.

They are having a spring show on either March 11 or March 18. Perhaps anyone in the group that would be interested could meet up at their show.

I forget who called Giant Joke "Giant Joke" but what exactly do you dislike about them? I'd be interested to find out before I commit to buying a machine from them.

Good evening Pete, best wishes in your purchase.

Over the years I bet I have $10K invested in my Yard Yacht

Today's value?

John Deere 318 L&G Tractor
  • 50" mower deck
  • EasyRake ??? tag along vac/shreader/chipper
  • 47" two stage snow blower
I suspect that I could have had a life-time of your services in lieu of my toy.

Hello everyone, nice to see a crowd gathering.

Interesting thought:
The only difference between a group of people and birds is that letter 'd' in crowd.

Pete Gaint Oak is a good place, and Skip (the owner) is good to deal with. I know his son but have not delt with him at all.
People just say gaint joke for fun.
Pete are you going in the morning?

Yea. Skip is the geezer that drives the purple Cummins right?

I spoke with his son today when I was there. He definitely knows his business.

I was looking to get a mulching kit on the mower, but he said that he sold 4 exmarks w/mulch kits to other cemetery mowers and they ripped the baffles out on tombstones that were supposed to be flush that weren't.

Skip was leaving to go to D&D as we pulled in so that's why we were talking to his son (I didn't get a name) but when he was back he offered to "work on the price" of a Wright before we even asked about it.

If I didn't want the nice suspension seat and goodies on the Exmark I would've jumped on that deal, but I want a nice suspension seat.

Andy I'll see if dad would want to go to GO's spring show and if he does then that might be a good place to meet up and BS for a while.
