I have installed a new auto meter boost gauge 35 psi in a 1995 ford psd. I know that there are 100's of threads on this subject so heres one more.
Yes its fluttering like crazy but no noise what the heck. I put a tee in the MAP line WHERE ELSE thats the only place i hear about where to install.
I have heard of a needle valve where does it go in the 1/8 line or the MAP line does it work is there other ways to combat this?
mine flutters a bit at higher boost....but levels out and stays steady.....there is a fix for it but cant remember what it was......it does not bother me so I never worried about it
I had it apart earlyer and took the gauge out, i barley opened the valve on my air compressor put the blow gun to it was steady preassure ok good its not the gauge........ so then i thought i would check the line so i took it apart at the tee stuck my air nozzle in the tlittle 1/8 hose then again steady preassure is this an accurate test?
I have the same exact problem with my 96. I have it tapped with a tee in the map line as well and it flutters from the crack of the throttle. It bounces from 15 to 25 at WOT. any ideas for a fix would be lovely.
