I'm looking for a new 08 or 09 F350 V10 Lariat/King Ranch.
The plan is to remove the truck bed, install a flatbed and then have my custombuilt dog boxes attached to the flatbed.
As far as I can see my options are -
buy a standard truck, get the flatbed builder to remove the bed and install the new flatbed
or - order a brand new cab & chassis and get Ford to build the flatbed.
I'm currently still in the UK, but am ready to order the truck - I just need to find the best way to do this.
Can anyone advise if Ford will supply a flatbed equipped truck (and how long roughly it would take from ordering)
Ford drop-ships trucks to conversion companies but I don't know about to anywhere to get a flatbed installed. They don't offer one as an option. Your best bet would probably be to do an online search for bed manufacturers. Find one you like, then try to do a dealer search for that company to try to find an installer / retailer close to the dealership you're ordering the truck from. Order a chassis-cab and then have it installed after the truck gets delivered to the dealer. Or you could try to go through the dealership you order your truck from and try to get them to get it fitted for you. The local Ford dealer here does it all the time and we've got about four places locally here that sell / install the flatbeds.
