I went to fire up my truck the other morning and it wouldn't go...turn the key and nothing. Everything else on the truck seems to be working fine. I checked things out a bit and found I was not getting power from the ignition to the starter solenoid. I jumped the solenoid..then it would turn over so it isnt a battery issue or starter issue. I then checked out power from the battery to the fuse panel and the fuses. I have power to all of these and good fuses. I have power to the starter relay also both from the battery and the ignition switch. I bought a new relay and still have no start. I am going to play around with it some more tonight, but this is giving me a headache fast. Anyone have any other ideas???
sounds like your'e not getting power through the relay to the starter solenoid wire. could be a neutral safety switch too. if you have an auto run the gear selector through its range a couple times and see if that does anything.if you have a manual try pushing the clutch in-out a couple times.
Thanks for the input. Unless I am mistaken I believe that that sensor should be before the relay. I have the Chiltons for 99-2006 superduties, but in the wiring diagram section the latest diagram is labelled 2002. I did try it in Neutral also forgot to mention that in first post.
