cold start
Are there other problems that will cause this, from what i read if the ficm was bad it would not run it warm, get good run and mpg when warm.
Help
After talking more in depth with both of my diesel technitions I still beleive that the FICM wasnt bad back in May because the main way they test a FICM is to test the voltages comming out of it. A normal working FICM will have 48 volts as soon as you turn the key on and not drop below 47.5 volts while cranking this is the way it was testing in May but when testing in January it only had 23 volts with the key on. The Ficm being bad will cause a hard starting concearn. Your loss of power is being caused by the EGR valve that is plugged up this we know was not an issue in May as well because we never recieved any codes from the main engine computer for this.
asked if this will fix the problems ,,,,,, answer,,,,,Yes this will fix the problems you are having.
They are talking 1127 parts and labor for the FICM an egr valve.
are they on track to fix this truck?

Will my 6.8 83 fit in here? hi hi
2003 f350 Starts with no power for a while when below 10 out, if below about 20 and driven hard will start to fail after about 5 to 10 miles at 65 to 70 mph. will loose power and act like it is missing if you try to go faster, real ruff shift lever shakes.
Ford put new FICM and EGV they said would fix my problems,,,,,, NOT.
Thanks for any ideas
