Fuel pump
I have a 2005 superduty with the 6.0. dealer says fuel pump is going out. I am going to change it myself but am wondering if i should look into an aftermarket or performance pump. Also it is a frame mounted pump is there any thing special i need to know before doing it. Anyones help is appreciated.

The pump is internal to the HFCM. It might be easier to swap out the entire HFCM instead of just replacing the pump. The HFCM is mounted on the inside of your truck's frame just below the driver's seat.
A weak fuel pump can cause problems with fuel injectors if not fixed promptly.
