I am currently in the market for new tires for my 2004 F-150 4x4. I have the 17" factory option rims with 255/70R17. does anyone know what the maximum size tire I can put on the truck. I am looking for a more aggresive look and Im thinking 285/70R17. Are there any clearance issues.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know what is the max size that will fit on the 17" stock wheels? I have a fat Bob's 3" levelling lift installed.
I got 33/12.50/17 but they arent on stock rims I also have a 3inch leveling kit from fat bobs. I had these tires on before and after the leveling kit. The axles are at no angle because it goes on top of the shock tower. The CV Axle shaft on the other hand is a different story. It is a pretty good angle but never had a problem yet. I went in a truck pull and to the sand dunes so I have used my 4 wheel drive and no problem.
