There are no easy routes to more power with these older motors... at least none that will keep your hands clean like a tuner. The easiest thing to do is adance the timing, and after that exhaust upgrades pay the best dividens.

Engine swap....Only way I know. My brother 'built' a 300 one time, and it was decent, but never really met his expectations. Might have gained 25 hp, but to him it was not worth the investment he made.
